Sichuan Gocean Science Technology Co., Ltd. (Gocean) was founded in 1997 by Dr. Yun Wang in Chengdu, Sichuan. In the past 23 years, it has become a giant International Education Group. Gocean focuses on: Professional education, IT international certificate education (Microsoft certified education), Educational investment, International certification exam (Prometric, VUE), Information technology outsourcing (ITO) and human resource outsourcing (HRO).
Gocean was awarded “National Outsourcing Enterprise of Advanced Technology”, “Outsourcing Service Outstanding Base of Chengdu City”, “Microsoft Gold Partner”. It has a significant influence in the Southwest of China. Gocean has the land which is 600,000 square feet and the buildings which are 350,000 square feet. There are about 50 employees in the Gocean, and there are about 180 employees working in the Gocean Education Group.
With rapid development and expansion of its operations, the Foreign Company Gocean decided to open a new office in the United States to further establish and expand its market in the US. Accordingly, Gosvea, Inc. (US Company”), which is short for Gocean Silicon Valley Education Academy was incorporated in July 2014 in California.
The US Company is a subsidiary of the Foreign Company; the Foreign Company wholly-owns Gosvea and has 100% control of the US Company. Total of approximately $3 Million funds has been invested to US Company in Oct. 2015. And the US Company also rented an 10,000 square feet business building at 1631 North First Street in Santa Clara, CA, as its office.
Gosvea’s main business: 1) To establish a university (University of San Jose) containing both Bachelor’s program and Master’s program in the US, and build the multi-campus education service system (including China and India); 2) To establish a human resource service outsourcing company, and provide software development service outsourcing; 3) To set up an educational finance company, and provide financial assistance to students; 4) To design and develop STEM and AI courses with independent intellectual property rights, and promote in China and USA.
